One Man's Junk.....

Does this give you a hint of what I got today that I'm sooo excited about?

Yep!

I got a globe!

Doesn't sound all that big, does it?

Well, wait until you hear the story before you judge.

I'm a teacher (as many of you know, homeschooling my brother), and every teacher needs a globe. I didn't want one of those blue and bright colored ones ( that have plastic stands and globe holders, therefore, break quickly), because I like the more antique looking different brownish tints ones. My pastor has one, and I've always liked it. I've always loved history, and now am quite interested in geography; another reason why I wanted one. But I would need a smaller (not full size) globe considering I share a room with my sister, and barely have space as it is. Well, today I was in Goodwill, and spotted a man walking around with this globe like he was going to buy it. I really, really liked it, and hoped he would change his mind and put it down. So I watched him. After a little while of looking around, he walked towards the register. I thought, "O well, there goes that." A few minutes later he walked back, looked at it closely (and for too long, in my impatient opinion), and finally put it down, and walked away! I was over there snatching it up as soon as he turned away, and now I have this lovely globe not only to use for teaching, but also for information for myself, and decoration (my room's colors are brown and blue.)

And there you have it! The blessing the Lord decided to give me, even though I never officially prayed for it.
Psalms 37:4  Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
Psalms 37:5  Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Not to say I'm perfect at it, but the Lord decided to reward me anyway.

Here's some more pics of my globe.

Remember how I said I wanted something solid? This globe has a real wood stand, and a metal globe holder.

Gen 1:1  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
